INGREDIENTS
20 Medjool dates, pits removed
~ ¾ cup of nut butter, we used sunflower seed butter
½ cup of bittersweet chocolate chips
La Baleine Sea Salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Line a small baking sheet or tray with If You Care Parchment Paper. Set to the side
Remove the pits from your dates. The easiest way to do this is to use a knife or scissor to slice across the middle of the date, then pull open the flesh and pull out the pit. Discard the pit and repeat with all dates
Stuff each date with about one tablespoon of nut butter, then place it on the parchment-lined baking sheet
Once you’re all done, place the entire tray in the freezer to get cold while you melt your chocolate
Put a saucepan on medium heat filled with 1-2 inches of water
Once the water is hot, place a bowl over the saucepan (it should not be directly touching the water) and pour in your chocolate chips
Warm the chips, stirring often, until they are fully melted
Once they are melted, remove the dates from the freezer
Use a spoon to drizzle melted chocolate over cold dates. You can apply as much or as little chocolate as you’d like
Sprinkle with La Baleine Coarse Sea Salt right after drizzling the chocolate (before it sets)
Serve immediately, or store these in the fridge for up to 4 days!
